WHAT’S ON

Thinking of a weekend away? What better reason than an upcoming event to make the trip to Burra.

Blenheim Music and Camping Festival (March 29 & 30) is back at Easter, along with Clare Valley Easter Race Day (March 31). If you love a day at the races (and dust) then the Burra Picnic Races are for you (keep an eye on a date to be released soon).

If fitness is your thing, lock in the Clare Classic (April 8 2018), the newest event on the calendar. The Burra Fun Run (April 15) is back bigger than ever, with an exciting new course.

We are excited to host here in Burra, Reclaimed Pianos (April 21), an intimate show that taps into the piano’s magical ability to transport us through time and to other places.  Incorporating acrobatic performances, this show is sure to excite both young and old.

For the antique, vintage and history buffs, plan a weekend in Burra for the Vintage & Antique Fair, and South Australia’s History Festival (May), celebrating our state’s heritage.

Fine food and wine lovers will delight in Clare Valley Gourmet Weekend (May 18-21).

For the rev-heads, lock in the Rally of the Heartland (June 1-3), featuring a world first – the world’s longest wind farm stage of approximately 40kms, Lew Job Rally (June 9 & 10), and the Walky 100 (keep an eye out for the date to be released soon).

Outstanding garden festivals to add to the calendar include the SA Autumn Garden Festival (April 29) and the Burra & Districts Open Gardens Weekend (October 20 & 21), both of which are sure to draw a crowd.
